The NFD presents several training suggestions, organized by entities external to IST, aimed at all IST staff, in order to complement our training offer.
INA
The National Institute of Public Administration (INA, I.P.) contributes to the innovation and modernization of Public Administration through training. IST and other entities, in partnership with INA and within the scope of the “Zero Infoexclusion” Project, carried out a needs assessment in May 2024. Based on the results obtained, it is informed that starting from January 2025, INA will offer a training program called AP Digital. For more information, we invite you to consult the following:
- Guided Mode – MOODLE Platform – This mode is recommended for those who have difficulties navigating online and need support from the INA team.

It is an online project for “Education and Training for Large Audiences”, a pioneering national initiative that supports teaching and training aimed at large-scale audiences.

ANIMAR
ANIMAR (National Network for the Promotion of Citizenship and Local Development) has developed a digital platform to support distance learning, collaborative work, and as an information repository. Since 2010, it has been intended for use by various members, participants, and partners involved in different training initiatives.
With the ultimate goals of empowering organizations, sharing good practices, and disseminating knowledge, the platform aims to validate technical, specific, and specialized skills in response to the current and future needs of both organizations and individuals engaged in Local Development.
You can explore all the training programs already developed, and we will soon highlight new training opportunities.
iGen – Forum of Organizations for Equality
Created in 2013, iGen – Forum of Organizations for Equality comprises 73 organizations—national and multinational—from the public, private, and social economy sectors operating in Portugal, including IST.
iGen members have committed to strengthening and showcasing their organizational culture of social responsibility by incorporating the principles of gender equality in the workplace into their strategies and management models.
Soon, we will highlight the training opportunities offered by the iGen Academy, including sessions organized by Forum members.

In partnership with the National Financial Education Plan, IST presents the course:
“Financial Education in the Workplace”.
FORMA-TE
The Training and Trainers Portal is a Learning Community and a Collaborative Learning Network for all professionals in Training and Vocational Education.
FORMA-TE serves as a space for sharing information, knowledge, and experiences among training and vocational education professionals. It is also the largest repository of Open Educational and Training Resources in Portugal, offering 35,000 digital resources, available since 2006.

The Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment (CITE) has the mission to promote equality and non-discrimination between men and women in the workplace, employment, and vocational training. It also collaborates in the enforcement of legal and regulatory provisions on these matters, as well as those related to parental protection and the reconciliation of professional activity with family and personal life, across the private, public, and cooperative sectors.

The Professional Training Center for the Electronics, Energy, Telecommunications, and Information Technologies Industry (CINEL) provides high-quality services to companies and individuals in the fields of qualification, training, and professional certification. It promotes the acquisition and/or reinforcement of skills in behavioral, linguistic, and technological areas. You can consult the 2025 Training Offer.
To complete the pre-registration for CINEL training, please follow these steps:

Access the training links, click on “Register”, create an account, and fill in the requested information;

Then, send an email to Dr. Maria José Rodrigues at CINEL (maria.rodrigues@cinel.pt), informing which course you registered for. Please include the NFD (nfd@drh.tecnico.ulisboa.pt) in CC, so that we can later send CINEL your Certificate of Qualifications and the Employer’s Declaration.
Please note: If you are asked to provide proof of your IBAN, please disregard this request, as it is a general procedure for all trainees but does not apply to employed individuals attending training during working hours.
